Our commercial team spent the summer on site at a new retail unit on the outskirts of Dundee, working alongside the main contractor to deliver the full electrical installation.
The job started with the external supply and metering, followed by first-fix containment and cabling across the sales floor, stockroom and staff areas. We then fitted LED panel lighting, emergency lighting and fire alarm detection, and finished with a full test and certification package ready for building control sign-off.
Working on an active building site takes careful coordination. Our site team attended weekly progress meetings and adapted our programme as other trades finished, so the unit was handed over on the agreed date.
